What AcePool Is

AcePool is a personal, non-commercial bracket prediction app built and operated by Ace Ray (“I”, “me”) for friends and invitees to predict tournament match outcomes. It is not a business, gambling platform, or commercial service.

What I Collect

When you join a pool, I collect:

  • Name — displayed to other pool members on the leaderboard and in the bracket
  • Email address — used to identify your account across pools, send reminders if your pool admin requests them, and communicate any important changes
  • 4-digit PIN — stored in hashed form only (bcrypt); I cannot see or recover your actual PIN
  • Your picks and predictions — visible only to you before the pick deadline, then visible to other members of your pool(s) after the deadline

I also collect:

  • Basic server logs — IP address, request timestamps, and browser information are logged by my hosting provider (Vercel) for security and debugging purposes
  • Anonymous usage analytics — I use Umami, a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics tool. It tracks page views and general usage patterns. No personal data is collected by Umami, and no data is shared with third parties.

What I Do NOT Collect

  • Payment or financial information (the buy-in display is informational only)
  • Phone numbers
  • Location data (your browser timezone is used client-side only for display purposes and is not stored)

Cookies

AcePool does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. If essential cookies are used for basic site functionality (such as admin sessions), they contain no personal information and cannot be used to track you across sites.

Where Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored in Singapore on Supabase (database) and served via Vercel (hosting, Singapore region). No data is transferred outside Singapore for storage purposes.

Who Sees Your Data

  • Other pool members see your name, avatar (auto-generated from your initials), rank, and points on the leaderboard. After the pick deadline, they can also see your predictions.
  • Pool administrators (the person who created your pool) can see your name, email, pick status, and submission timestamp.
  • I (Ace Ray) have access to all data as the site operator for administration, debugging, and result entry purposes.
  • No one else. I do not sell, share, or disclose your data to any third party, except where required by law.

How Long I Keep Your Data

Your data is retained through the tournament and the post-tournament archive period (so you can revisit your results). After that, data is retained until you request deletion. The archive is intended to be accessible indefinitely via your existing token URL.

Your Rights

You can request at any time to:

  • View the personal data I hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information (e.g., update your name)
  • Delete your account and associated data from a pool

To make a request, email me at ray@ace-ray.com. I will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to This Notice

If I make material changes to how your data is handled, I will update this page and note the new date above. For significant changes, I may also notify you by email.
